Hillsides Wins Three Awards at PRSA Los Angeles Awards Show Recognizing the Best in LA Public Relations

Hillsides, a foster care charity, won three PRism awards recognizing the best in Los Angeles area public relations at the 52 Annual PRism Awards Show held by the Public Relations Society of America, Los Angeles Chapter (PRSA-LA) in Hollywood on November 16. Hillsides received awards in the categories of 1) Crisis Communications – Associations/Nonprofits/Education, 2) Issues Management- Associations/Nonprofits/Education, and 3) Integrated Communications – Associations/Nonprofits/Education.

“We are thrilled that our efforts to share Hillsides news and to highlight the important work being done was recognized with these three prestigious awards,” said Marisol Barrios, Hillsides senior director of communications and marketing. “This year, we had many major news stories coming out of our agency, and in the interest of the 13,000 children and families we serve, it was important that we get the right message out. PRSA-LA is comprised of nearly 600 agency, in-house and independent public relations professionals representing LA-area corporations, academic institutions, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. It was incorporated in 1948 as one of the first five founding chapters of the Public Relations Society of America. Each year the Los Angeles chapter recognizes outstanding programs and materials created by public relations professionals who work in the greater Los Angeles area or have completed assignments for LA-based clients.
