Holiday Luncheon and Toy Drive at Pasadena Senior Center

Published on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 | 12:29 pm

Members of the Pasadena Senior Center and families and friends will enjoy a holiday luncheon with all the traditional fare Thursday, Dec. 19, at noon at the center, 85 E. Holly St.

Please bring an unwrapped toy or book for the Operation Santa Toy Drive that will spread joy to low-income children.

Doors will open at noon and entertainment by the Bob and Bernie Show will begin at 12:30 p.m. The luncheon will be served at 1:00 p.m. with Christmas songs performed by Phyliss Hamlin.

Chef Jerry will prepare a special menu with all the favorites of the season. The luncheon will be combined with the monthly birthday party, so members with birthdays anytime in December should mention that when they make their reservations.

The cost is $5 per person; members with December birthdays attend for free but must make a reservation.

Prepaid reservations must be made no later than Monday, Dec. 16, at the front desk or at www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org (click on Events). For more information call (626) 685-6724.

Founded in 1959, the Pasadena Senior Center is an independent nonprofit organization that offers recreational, educational, wellness and social services to people ages 50 and over in a friendly environment. Services are also provided for frail, low-income and homebound seniors.
