Holiday Week Starts Sunny, Warm and Dry; Fire Watch Activated

A warmer day is shaping up across the Pasadena area as the incoming air mass stalled and nudged forecasted Monday temperatures higher than the previous prediction, according to the National Weather Service.

That warmth coupled with winds (which will be barely noticeable in Pasadena) and very low humidity prompted forecasters to activate a fire watch throughout Los Angeles County until 3 p.m. Monday.

Relative humidity was predicted to range from 15 to 20 percent by mid-morning and drop to 7 to 15 percent by Monday afternoon and evening.

Here is a detailed look at the National Weather Service forecast this week:

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 86. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. South southwest wind around 5 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47. South southeast wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.

Thanksgiving Day: Sunny, with a high near 79.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 81.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 81.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 77.
