Two men forced their way into a home in Pasadena’s Hastings Ranch neighborhood Friday night before the screams of two young sisters who were inside apparently scared them off, authorities said.
The break-in took place about 8:50 p.m. at a home in the 800 block of Cambridge Court, Pasadena police Lt. Marcia Taglioretti said.
The sisters, a young woman and a teen, suddenly heard the sound of glass breaking, “followed by unfamiliar voices,” the lieutenant said. They screamed, then heard no further noises.
Responding police officers discovered that a rear sliding glass window of the home had been shattered, she said. It did not appear anything had been taken from the home.
The burglars were initially described only as male. One wore a long-sleeve white shirt and light pants, while the other wore a black hooded sweatshirt and light pants.
