Investigating Late Check-Out, Pasadena Hotel Manager Finds Dead Woman

The manager of an East Pasadena inn went to the room of guest who was late to check out Tuesday afternoon and discovered her body, Pasadena police said.

The woman, a 44-year-old Hollywood resident, had apparently committed suicide, Lt. Kelly Evans said.

Police were called the Siesta Inn in the 2800 block of East Colorado Blvd. shortly after 1 p.m., Evans said.

“The person inflicted a wound upon herself with a sharp implement,” Evans said. “It’s still under investigation.”
