Kim Ferreira has been named President of the Junior League of Pasadena in the organization’s 95th year.

The Junior League of Pasadena, Inc. (JLP) is proud to announce that Kim Ferreira has been named President of this prestigious volunteer organization that has proudly served the greater Pasadena area for 95 years through the effective action and leadership of its trained volunteers.

The Junior League of Pasadena has a legacy of developing strong female civic leaders who have taken on numerous projects that have helped to shape our community over the past 95 years. Under Ferreira’s leadership, this momentum will continue, with a focus on the Support and Development of Women – creating a space where all women belong.

“It is humbling to follow in the footsteps of such amazing female leaders who have accomplished so much for the JLP and our community,” said Kim. “I look forward to the year ahead, working closely with the wonderful volunteers who make the Junior League of Pasadena such a powerful force in our community.”

Not even a pandemic could prevent the JLP from continuing its dedicated work. Over the past 17 months, the organization never paused its service. Its volunteer members adapted, and have virtually provided hundreds of hours of support to local organizations across the region when they needed it most. The JLP supported dozens of other community organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club of Pasadena, which recently presented the JLP with its “Champions for Kids” award for the volunteer support the JLP has provided during the pandemic.

The Junior League of Pasadena welcomes all women interested in community involvement, building leadership skills, and connecting with like-minded women. Free informational mixers are coming up on Thursday, September 7th and Wednesday, October 6th. For details, please contact join@jlpasadena.org.

Kim is beginning her 10th year with the Junior League of Pasadena. She grew up in Northern California, and graduated with a degree in International Relations from the University of the Pacific. She is a Pasadena resident, and is the Director of Events and Marketing at Cancer Support Community Pasadena (CSCP), a nonprofit providing free support and services to individuals throughout our community who are impacted by cancer…so that no one faces cancer alone.
