Kimberly Washington has been appointed by Councilmember Tyron Hampton to represent District 1 on the Pasadena Community Access Corp. board of directors.

Washington is currently the vice president of resource development at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Los Angeles.

I believe Kimberly’s breadth of professional and volunteer experience, coupled with her sincerely held personal commitment to advancing the lives of underserved youth, will be beneficial to the PCAC board. Kimberly brings creative and innovative thinking to this opportunity to serve the community,” Hampton said.

Washington brings to the position more than seven years of development experience. She earned the Boys & Girls Club of America’s Resource Development Professional of the Year award for the Pacific Region for her outstanding leadership and innovative fundraising achievements.

“We are so pleased to have Kim Washington join our board. She brings an impressive resume along with a great deal of enthusiasm. I look forward to working with her.” said PCAC Board President Sally Howell.

“Having known Kim for many years, I am thrilled that she is joining our board of directors and know she will be a great advocate for our organization. Kim has always been very active in the community, and Pasadena Media is so fortunate to have her bring her expertise and insight to the group,” said Executive Director CEO George Falardeau.

Washington previously served as a board member with the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley, as a member of the Los Angeles County Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs Marketing & Fundraising Committee, and as a presenter for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America on corporate fundraising strategies. Prior to BGCMLA, Washington was a 24-year veteran of the Walt Disney Co. as director of global business and brand development.

“I am honored and grateful to be appointed to the Pasadena Community Access Corp. board. I am excited for the opportunity to work with the board of directors and the Pasadena Media team in support of the continued advancement of our public and community access channels,” said Washington.
