With just two months to go until the event that kicks off a multiyear centennial celebration of America’s Stadium, the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation is well into the final preparations for the big event. Today, they announced the second of a number of celebrities that will be in attendance at the Rose Bowl Party of the Century presented by Western Asset.
Kirk Herbstreit, a long-time friend and fan of the Rose Bowl Stadium will be in attendance at the ‘Party of the Century’. Since 1995, Kirk has been a college football analyst for ESPN/ABC. In 1996, he joined Chris Fowler and co-analyst Lee Corso on ESPN’s College Gameday program making 2019 Kirk’s 24th season on this popular Emmy Award winning studio show. Since 2006, Kirk has been the game analyst for ABC’s Saturday Night Prime Time broadcast.
Kirk has won 12 Sports Emmy Awards including Best Studio Analyst, Best Game Analyst and Best Studio Show. Kirk has also called 11 National championship games and 13 Rose Bowls, more than any other college football analyst. Kirk is a 1993 graduate of The Ohio State University. Kirk is a former OSU quarterback and was the team captain for 1992 season.
Kirk and his wife Allison reside in Nashville, Tennessee with their 4 boys.
The announcement of Herbstreit’s attendance at the Rose Bowl Party of the Century comes after the Legacy Foundation announced last week, its Master of Ceremonies, Rich Eisen, who is the host of The Rich Eisen Show and on NFL Network.
Expected to welcome more than 1,200 guests to the famed-turf of America’s Stadium on April 18, 2020, the Rose Bowl Party of the Century will celebrate the life and moments of the venue’s global history, while generating support to protect, preserve and enhance its future as a National Historic Landmark.
