Thomas Mahle, Chief Executive Officer at Aurora Las Encinas Hospital in East Pasadena, has been named CEO at Palm Point Behavioral Health Hospital in Brevard County, Florida, according to a media report.
Las Encinas Hospital is a long-established, large behavioral hospital serving those with mental health and substance abuse disorders. It is located at 2900 East Del Mar Boulevard.
Las Encinas well known for treating numerous celebrities and over the decade provided the backdrop for local radio and TV host Dr. Drew Pinsky, who hosted a radio program called “Loveline” and the TV reality show “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.”
Mahle is a leader in behavioral health for over 30 years, holding multiple leadership roles in the private and public sector, according to the Las Encinas website.
He has also served on multiple community boards dedicated to improving mental health in the community and is dedicated to improving healthcare delivery for all psychiatric patients, the website said.
He also served as administrative director for JFK North Campus, formerly West Palm Hospital in Florida’s Palm Beach County, where he was responsible for the operations and financial oversight of an inpatient behavioral hospital serving children, adolescents, adults and seniors, and outpatient services.
At Palm Point, Mahle will lead a new 74-bed behavioral health facility that is greatly expanding access to inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment for the region.
Palm Point Behavioral Health Hospital currently offers a full continuum of inpatient services for children and adolescents, and adults using treatment modalities that are innovative and evidence-based.
The hospital offers outpatient services to meet the needs of the community, and provides inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors.
