Bill Gates has reportedly hired a law firm founded by a 97-year-old Pasadena resident to represent him in his divorce from wife Melinda, announced yesterday.

Los Angeles-based Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP was listed on court documents published byTMZ as one of the firms working on the divorce case on behalf of the Microsoft founder.

Bill Gates announced he was separating from Melinda Monday via social media. The couple had no prenuptial agreement, according to TMZ.

Munger, Tolles & Olson was founded by Charles Munger of Pasadena, although he is not listed as one of the attorneys handling the case directly.

Munger, himself worth an estimated $2.2 billion, according to Forbes, is also known for his longtime connection to investment and business tycoon Warren Buffett. He also serves as vice chairman on the board of directors at Berkshire Hathaway, headed by Buffet.

“We are involved in some of the most high-profile legal cases in the country and count among our clients Bank of America, Transocean, Edison International, Verizon, Rambus, Oaktree Capital Management, KB Home, LG Display, Yucaipa Cos. and Berkshire Hathaway,” according to a statement on the law firm’s website.
