Let’s Get Green

Matt Denny’s does the St. Patrick’s Day bash thing

It’s St. Patrick’s Day next week, and that means that of course, that not only is everyone Irish, but everyone is green. It’s a thing. Matt Denny’s will be especially green that day as they lead all the snakes away from Arcadia. It’s their 15th St. Paddy’s Day Celebration. They seem to be getting the hang of it.

In fact, manager Vince Agura let us in some of the plans the other day.

“We’ll have a special menu on Saint Patty’s Day,” he said. “Actually Friday to Monday, there will be a special menu, with corned beef with cabbage being the primary thing.”

And to continue the corned beef continuum, they’ll also be featuring a corned beef quesadilla, along with the usual corned beef sandwiches.

Did someone say Irish music? The Nackers will be getting jig with it from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m, along with an opening band.

It sounds like a lot of March Madness going on there, and hey, what a coincidence. There is a game on Tuesday, if you want to get a head start on the actual NCAA Tourney which whittles down to 64 next Thursday.

But let’s focus now. St. Patrick’s Day. Next week, March 17th. Matt Denny’s. Corned Beef Quesadillas. You have your agenda.

Matt Denny’s Ale House is at 145 East Huntington Drive, Arcadia. (626) 462-0250.
