DODGER STADIUM—All day long and into the evening, the Dodgers will celebrate the life and legacy of Jack Roosevelt Robinson and his historic breaking of the Major League Baseball color barrier 75 years ago today on April 15, 1947. The Dodgers and Major League Baseball will honor the Hall of Famer by wearing his No.42 jersey with all teams for the first time, using Dodger blue “42” jersey numbers (regardless of their primary team colors).

The Dodgers last night collected a season high 14 hits and did all of their damage in the first (3 runs) and eighth innings (6) last night on their way to a 9-3 victory over the Reds in the 61st home opener in Dodger Stadium history (34-27). Walker Buehler allowed two runs in 5.2 innings while Blake Treinen tossed a perfect seventh frame for his first victory of 2022.

At the plate, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Trea Turner, Will Smith, Chris Taylor and Cody Bellinger each have two hits, and Smith hit a three-run blast in the eighth to nab his first longball of the season. Bellinger went 2-for-3 and has now scored a run in four consecutive games.

The Dodgers were 3-3 vs. the Reds in 2021, but have won nine of their last 13 against Cincinnati since the start of the 2019 campaign. In that time, Los Angeles is 5-2 vs. the Reds at Dodger Stadium.
