Live Blogging with Eddie Rivera: Dodgers Pound the Marlins in a Wild One, 7-0

Trevor Bauer fans 10; Dodgers spoil Holloway debut

Things were going so well for Miami Marlin Jordan  Holloway. And then they weren’t. Going into  the fourth with a no-hitter,things soured fast.

Turner  ended Holloway’s no-hitter with a single. A single sent Turner to second, and a walk to Smith loaded the bases. Holloway walked in the Dodgers’ first run in the person of Justin Turner.

A sacrifice from Lux scored another run, and the Dodgers added two more in the fifth.

In the seventh, Taylor  singled to right. Then pinch hitter DJ Peter drove in two run, but was tagged out when he was caught off first base, scampering back to first in all the excitement.

The 7-0  victory game highlighted a sparkling performance from Bauer who earned the win, scattering only two hits, and no runs over 133 pitches, 71 of which were strikes. He struck out ten marlins while he was at it.

The Dodgers will face the Marlins, looking for their second sweep, Sunday afternoon.

Following an 9-6 victory on Friday night, the Dodgers are facing the Don Mattingly-coached Miami Marlins Saturday for the second game in a three-game series.

Righty Trevor Bauer (3-2) will face the Marlins’ Jordan Holloway.

The Doyers are currently riding a three-game win streak, and are reportedly close to finalizing a deal with Angel legend Albert Pujols, for the remainder of this season. Anything can happen.

Game time is 6:10 p.m. Nice to see you again!
