LIVE BLOGGING WITH EDDIE RIVERA | Dodgers Waste Opportunities, Drop Opener to Cleveland Guardians 2-1

Published on Friday, June 17, 2022 | 11:04 pm

DODGER STADIUM—Leaving eleven runners stranded on base, the Los Angeles Dodgers successfully managed to drop the opening game of their three-game series against the Cleveland Guardians in ten innings, 2-1.
Wasting a gutty performance by Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers failed to deliver when it mattered, striking out or otherwise allowing numerous opportunities to slip away.

In the bottom of the tenth, Freddie Freeman struck out, but Muncy walked, followed by Smith grounding out. With runners on first and second with two down, Justin Turner went down swinging, taking the contest with him.
