SAN FRANCISCO—Trevor Bauer pitched a quiet and solid game Friday night to lead the Dodgers over the first-place San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park, 2-1. He had 11 strikeouts with no earned runs, and allowed only 2 hits.
Bauer was helped along by a two-run homer from Chris Taylor in the top of the third. Other than that, both Dodger and Giant bats were quiet. And cold, like the evening.
The Dodgers face the Giants again tomorrow at 4:15 p.m.

The Dodgers are in San Francisco tonight to face the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers have won eight of their last nine games and swept the Arizona Diamondbacks four straight earlier this week.
Trevor Bauer (4-2), is pitching for the Dodgers tonight, while former Dodger Alex Wood (5-0) is now pitching for Los Gigabytes.
The Giants are in first place in the NL West with a 28-16 record, with the Dodgers are in third behind them at 26-18.

The Dodgers lead 2-0, on a two run homer from Chris Taylor in the top of the third. Its’ been quiet ever since.
Smith is out swinging, man.
Gavin Lux (no relation) doubles into center field.
Sheldon (no relation) Neuse is at 1-2. He strikes out swinging, man.
DJ Peters get walked intentionally by Bauer.
Bauer be batting. Ball. He lines out, fulfilling the Giants’ small but valiant wish.

Buster Posey is very strickened out.
Brandon Crawford, one of the many Brandons around this place, He walks, bringing up Brandon, he of the Belt variety.
This Brandon strikes way out.
Evan Longoria is at 0-1. Lets make that 1-1. He gets aboard thanks to a throwing error by Bauer. Runners on second and third.
Dickerson is at 2-0. 2-1. 3-1. The count is full on a Bauer fastball. He flies out to Mookie.
