Local Baha’is Team With School District to Fundraise for Student Headsets

Published on Thursday, March 25, 2021 | 12:08 pm

The Baha’is of Pasadena and the Pasadena Unified School District are reporting that a fundraising campaign for headsets for the neediest students in the district was “a great success” and that $4,550 was raised from 50 donors.

In addition, the Pasadena Educational Foundation, which is dedicated to providing support to the district’s students and families, agreed to match $2,500 of the amount raised! So the total amount of money raised and delivered to the district was $7,050.

As the reopening of schools is occurring, the Baha’is have asked the senior PUSD staff to direct the funds raised towards the greatest need.

Baha’is believe that collective prosperity can be advanced through justice, generosity, collaboration and mutual aid and in that spirit would like to thank the following donors for making this happen:

Tara Gomez Hampton, William Morris, Debra Spoerke, Stephen Licata, Riaz and Naz Parsiani, Adrienne Ann Mullen, Farideh Shariary, Diane Orona, Jennifer Hall Lee, Mark Mastromatteo, Nicole Rabaudi, Janet Chunn, Sarah Hilbert, Melissa Bobbitt, Dawn O’Keeffe, Nikolette F Boland, Nancy Dufford, Stacie Endler, Ellen O’Leary, Maureen Crow, Kathleen Kubota, Monica Hubbard, Lisa Muthiah, Brian McDonald, Anne Lee, Catherine Dillavou, Cathleen Clement, Jeannine Patria, Sylvian Casetl de Oro, Mary Lou Byrne, Pierre Mainguy, Tammy Silver, Justene Adamec, and Adam and Laleh, in addition to 15 anonymous donors.
