Pasadena-based Wescom Credit Union is waking Pasadena area residents up with #WescomKindness for Daylight Saving Time this Sunday, March 12, inviting guests to spring forward with free coffee at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf located at 18 S. Fair Oaks Avenue.

Daylight Savings Time (DST) starts this Sunday at 2 a.m.

“To support our mission of making banking a better experience, we’re excited to spread #WescomKindness in Southern California with our third annual event in association with The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf,” says Deena Otto, Senior Vice President for Marketing and Administration at Wescom. “This year we’ve added two more locations to the list of participating Coffee Bean cafes, allowing us to surprise more people in our communities with free coffee to brighten their day.”

Wescom will be picking up the tab on Sunday for lucky guests in 21 different Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf locations in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. Big Blue, Wescom’s self-contained mobile financial center, will be parked adjacent to the Pasadena location with financial experts on hand to answer any questions.

While visiting Big Blue, SoCal residents can open a Wescom checking account, get pre-approved for a Wescom loan and enjoy the added convenience of getting cash from Big Blue’s ATM.

“We’re excited to help Wescom Credit Union surprise our guests for the third year in a row, especially on a day when morning routines are thrown off due to Daylight Saving Time,” says Adam Tabachnikoff, Senior Vice President for Global Brand Strategy at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.

Beverage tabs will be paid by Wescom, up to $15 per transaction, beginning the moment the doors open in the morning until $2,000 worth of bills are paid for at each of the 21 designated locations.

All participating Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf locations are available online at www.wescom.org/wescomkindness.

Since 1934, Wescom Credit Union has been dedicated to helping members throughout Southern California build better lives.

Headquartered in Pasadena, Wescom now has 22 branches providing essential banking solutions to nearly 200,000 members. Benefits include lower loan rates, higher savings yields, reduced fees, and a robust network of branches and ATMs.

#WescomKindness is an extension of Wescom Credit Union’s long-standing belief in the importance of serving its community through such programs as WeCare, Wescom’s employee-run charitable foundation.
