The United Democratic Headquarters in Pasadena has named seasoned political organizer Bill Hacket as campaign manager to oversee their efforts in the upcoming November 2024 elections. The announcement comes as Democrats seek to re-elect President Biden and maintain their hold on key congressional seats.

“We are delighted that Bill Hacket is joining us to manage our campaign in this vitally important election,” said Hoyt Hilsman, Chair of the United Democratic Headquarters Steering Committee. “We are confident that, under Bill’s leadership, we will have a winning Democratic effort in November, from re-election of President Biden to our many congressional, state, and local candidates.”

The United Democratic Headquarters is a coalition comprised of local Democratic clubs and grassroots organizations in the San Gabriel and San Fernando Valleys.
Hacket, a veteran of numerous successful campaigns at the federal, state, and local levels, as well as for labor unions and nonprofits, will be tasked with overseeing the United Democratic Headquarters’s multifaceted campaign strategy.

The coalition, which touts its historic success in helping to flip Southern California Districts from red to blue, has also played a significant role in recent years in electing Democratic candidates in neighboring states like Arizona and Nevada, and battleground states such as Georgia and Wisconsin.

The United Democratic Headquarters’s 2024 election effort will include a storefront headquarters where paid staff and volunteers will make phone calls, send text messages to voters, and organize door-to-door canvasses to support local candidates, as well as Congressional candidates in Southern California and Senate candidates in Arizona and Nevada.

The campaign will also have an active virtual presence, with volunteers making phone calls, sending texts, and writing postcards from their homes, along with a strong social media presence on popular platforms to spread the word about volunteer opportunities and activities.
The United Democratic Headquarters, a coalition of local Democratic clubs and grassroots organizations in the San Gabriel and San Fernando Valleys, has a history of successful campaigns, most notably the election of Adam Schiff to Congress in 2000, which marked the beginning of the region’s shift from Republican to Democratic representation.
