Male Pedestrian Killed on 210 Freeway in Pasadena This Morning, Traffic Backed Up

A pedestrian was killed Monday morning when he was struck by at least one vehicle on the I-210 Foothill Freeway in Pasadena.

The crash was reported at 4:02 a.m. on the westbound Foothill Freeway at Lake Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Kravig said.

A SigAlert remained in effect as of 6 a.m., shutting down the HOV lane and lanes 1, 2 and 3.

SigAlert.com said drivers should expect up to 30-minute delays in westbound lanes.
