Man Allegedly Tries to Shoot Neighbor After Intervening in Domestic Dispute

Pasadena police Sunday morning said they were investigating at the scene of attempted murder by a man of his neighbor about 3:30 a.m.

The suspect is in custody in the Pasadena jail.

Police said when the suspect intervened in a domestic dispute between his neighbors, a couple residing in the 0 block of North Chester Avenue just above Colorado Boulevard, a fight developed between him and the male neighbor.

The suspect reportedly went back to his home, armed himself and returned to confront the male neighbor.

Police said the man fired several rounds at his neighbor, but missed.

Arriving officer arrested Jimmy Carlos Tellez, 53, and booked him for attempted homicide.

Tellez is in the Pasadena jail in lieu of $1,000,507 bail.
