A homeless man was arrested on Friday after he allegedly hurled a metal chair through the front plate glass window of a hair salon in Pasadena, injuring a child and an adult inside.
The incident occurred at 3:06 p.m. on March 10 in the 900 block of East Green Street.
The chair shattered the glass and flying shards caused lacerations to a child who was getting a haircut and the hairdresser, according to Pasadena Police Lt. Derek Locklin.
Pasadena Fire Department paramedics responded and assessed and treated both victims at the scene. Neither required hospitalization.
A witness who saw the attack grabbed the assailant and held him until police arrived, Locklin said. The suspect was identified as Justyn Brown, 29, who had no fixed address of residence.
Brown was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and felony vandalism, according to Locklin.
He was being held on a $30,000 bond at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles, according to booking records.
