Breaking: Man Fatally Shot in Pasadena Identified

Authorities Tuesday identified a man who was shot and killed in a residential neighborhood in Pasadena.

Eric Thomas, 28, of Pasadena died at the scene of the crime, which was reported about 9 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and Pasadena police.

Police were alerted to the shooting by the police department’s new “Shotspotter” gunfire technology, according to Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins.

Dawkins said multiple shots were fired.

Officers arrived at the scene four minutes after police dispatch issued the call.

Arriving officers located the body of a man lying in a driveway upon their arrival, Dawkins said.

Police searched the area for surveillance footage and potential witnesses, authorities said. Detectives were called to the scene.

No suspect description was available.
