A 22-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a parking structure in Old Pasadena on Saturday at around 4 a.m., police said.
Pasadena Police Lt. Jason Clawson said investigators believed the victim committed suicide, the Los Angeles Times reported.
He “more than likely had been drinking†and “wanted to kill himself, we believe,†Clawson told the newspaper.
The man was identified as Edgar Langarica, a Los Angeles resident, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
According to the investigation, Langarica and a female companion were walking up the stairs of the parking structure on South De Lacey Avenue when the victim decided to jump from the third floor of the five-story building, Clawson told the Times.
Police found Langarica’s body at Fraser Alley and said he was pronounced dead at the scene, the Times said.
