A man was robbed at gunpoint while walking along Washington Boulevard in Pasadena on Tuesday, police said.

A local man in his 20s was on his way to work about 5:45 a.m. when a car pulled up alongside him, Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins said.

A passenger exited the car, brandished a handgun and ordered the victim to lie down on the ground, Dawkins said.

The robber then demanded the victim turn over his property, according to the lieutenant. The victim handed over a cell phone and a pair of AirPods earphones.

The gunman returned to the vehicle, which sped away east along Washington Boulevard, police said. It was described only as a four-door sedan.

Police described the gunman as a Latino man in his 20s, wearing gray sweatpants, a black sweatshirt and a gray face mask.

No description of the apparent getaway driver was available.
