A Pasadena man suffered a gunshot wound to his elbow in a drive-by shooting along Lake Avenue early Sunday, authorities said.
The attack took place about 1 a.m. in the 300 block of North Lake Avenue, near the 210 Freeway, Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Russo said.
Two men in their 20s were walking along the sidewalk when a late-2000s-model white sedan pulled up alongside them containing two men, according to the lieutenant.
Gunshots erupted from the car, striking one of the two pedestrians in the elbow, police said. The second victim was not struck.
Russo said the wounded man walked to a nearby gas station and asked for help. He was then taken to a hospital by paramedics for treatment.
A detailed suspect description was not available. The motive in the shooting remained under investigation.
