Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) today announced its newest board member, Margaret Mgrublian, a well-known community volunteer. Following her lengthy career in the electronics industry as International Sales Executive for Accele Electronics, Margaret has dedicated her time and resources to helping a variety of causes close to her heart including: Mother’s Club, AIDS Service Center, Cancer Support Community, Haven House and St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church. While working full-time, Margaret served as a volunteer Sunday School teacher for 22 years and was on the staff of the Western Diocese Summer Camp for ten years.

Ms. Mgrublian has also been active in many professional capacities. She is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Pasadena Women’s Civic League, and serves on the Southern California Regional Council of the Armenian Assembly of America and on the board of the Armenian International Women’s Association. She is a past president of the Westridge School Parent Association and a former chair of its Summer Opportunities Fair.

“In my opinion, Pasadena Community Foundation is about building our community with compassion while embracing its ethnic and socio economic diversity,” states Ms. Mgrublian. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve on this board and to help usher in the next 60 years of PCF’s extraordinary philanthropic work.”

“Margaret’s addition to our board brings with it a wealth of passion and inspiration in helping local charities,” states Jennifer DeVoll, executive director of Pasadena Community Foundation. “As we look forward to the future, we want to ensure that we reach all of the voices that need to be heard. I’m confident Margaret’s connections to the Pasadena community will be a valuable asset in accomplishing this goal.”

Margaret and her husband, David Mgrublian, are longtime residents of Pasadena. They have two daughters: Kathryn, a graduate of Claremont McKenna College, who works in San Francisco for Fleishman-Hillard, and Madlyn, a senior at Williams College.

In honor of its 60th anniversary, the Pasadena Community Foundation will be hosting a gala celebration, October 5th at 6 p.m., at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena. For more information on the Pasadena Community Foundation, please visit: www.pasadenacf.org.
