Mercury to Climb Into 90’s Today, Wednesday, Thursday

It’s going to be hot in Pasadena today and for the next two days before the temperatures drop for the weekend.

“Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses to occur,” warned the National Weather Service.

“Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.”

“Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing when possible,” the NWS said.

Humidity levels in the Southland were expected to be a low 3 to 10 percent today, but no red flag warnings signifying a high risk of wildfire were immediately issued.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 65. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast after midnight.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 94. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 63. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 83.
