I am going to miss seeing you wear your uniform and dropping you off at school for the last time as a 5th grader.

I feel sadness – I miss my friends

No last day of school, no 5th grade pictures or field trip, picnics or parents celebrating our promoted students.Heartache over not seeing you walking across stage and being promoted from an elementary school student to middle school student.

We won’t have that memory

I am thankful for these extra minutes I get with you before middle school and your teen years.

Grateful for the conversations at the dinner table about Brain Games, Star Wars, El Quijote and Banana Grams (en español).

You are awake to the hurt of the world and the loss. A child no more.

Thankful for you, Always YOU. Your good health, Your smile. Your kindness.

I miss playing kickball with my friends and learning from my teachers.

I feel sadness – I miss my friends

I will miss going to Science camp, going on night walks, eating the great food, and staying up late with my friends.

Unhappiness because I won’t see my friends together, friends of six years, for the last time.

I will never forget all the love from my teachers, or the friendships I have made.

We won’t have that memory

I will miss being a child and will soon become a teenager.

I am thankful for my health, food and to have a place to live, while playing Banana Grams and cooking with my mom.

I am capable of doing things by myself. I am responsible and get my work done.
