A fight in Old Pasadena early Monday morning has left a young man in critical condition in a local hospital, Pasadena police said.
Lt. Tom Delgado said the victim was struck once, fell to the ground and as a result of the fall “sustained significantly serious injury” which left him unconscious.
The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of East Colorado Blvd., Delgado said.
The victim’s name is not currently being released, but Delgado described him as a 25 year old resident of Los Angeles. The suspect is not known.
Delgado said the incident may have been the result of a disturbance at a nearby bar from which the victim was ejected.
Detectives are actively investigating the incident and interviewing witnesses, he said.
