Many Pasadena streets will be closed to traffic Sunday as 11,000 runners are expected for the 13.1-mile Pasadena Half-Marathon.

The Half Marathon’s route starts at 7 a.m. at the Rose Bowl, then makes its way through Pasadena past major landmarks before finishing back on Bowl’s field.

The 3.1-mile 5K run takes place on the Rose Bowl loop in the Arroyo with the same majestic finish as the half marathoners will experience.

The program also includes the Rose Bowl Kids Rush 1/4-mile race, which will follow the Half Marathon at 10:30 a.m.
The course will feature three live entertainment stages and a free Friends of the Fall concert.

Numerous Pasadena streets will be closed this morning until noon (until 12:30 p.m. around the Rose Bowl). Bus routes will be affected. For street closures, click here. For bus route changes, click here

Funds raised by the event will benefit the Half Marathon & 5K’s official sponsor, Pasadena Ronald McDonald House, a “home-away-from-home” for families with critically-ill children located across from the Huntington Hospital.

The Ronald McDonald House allowed the families to stay close to their sick children during treatment and gives them a place to stay, food and other support.

For questions regarding street closures or towed vehicles on the day of the event, please call (213) 542-3000.
