Even with a Wednesday coronavirus case count surge, this week’s statistics on COVID-19’s impact on Pasadena fit the general parameters of recent weeks’ reports.
A data dump of results from Rose Bowl drive-through testing added 77 confirmed COVID-19 cases Pasadena’s count.
Even so, the week’s new case count of 135 was only a bit above Pasadena’s median of 125 new cases per week in May.
There were no new deaths reported Friday and a total of 10 for the week, also within recent norms.
In total, the Pasadena Public Health department said Friday, 805 Pasadenans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 79 have died from COVID-19 since the outbreak began.
