The City of South Pasadena will be implementing a paid parking program for the Mission-Meridian Village Parking Garage starting July 1, 2014. The program will include monthly permits for $50.00 and daily permits for $3.00. To sign up for the program and purchase one’s Paid Parking at Mission-Meridian Village Garage permit, please go to www.southpasadenaca.gov/southpasparking or www.parksouthpas.com. Purchase of a monthly permit will guarantee a parking spot from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Mission-Meridian Village Parking Garage will be free of charge on weekdays after 6:00 p.m. and on weekends.
Implementation of the parking program will help address parking demand generated by the Metro Gold Line and increase parking reliability. The parking program will allow permit holders that use the parking garage as a “Park and Ride” facility the ability to reserve a spot for their commute to work. The funds generated from the program will help off-set the cost of maintaining the parking garage.
On February 19, 2014, City Council approved a Paid Parking at Mission-Meridian Village Garage professional service agreement with Clancy International Inc., to operate the permit program. Clancy International also operates the permit parking program for Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority and has years of experience operating these systems.
