At around 3:10 p.m., police were called to the store in the 400 block of South Lake Avenue, where they found two store security personnel struggling to detain two suspects, Bundy said.
The officers quickly intervened and apprehended both suspects without further incident.
However, during the altercation, three store loss prevention specialists had sustained injuries, including bite marks, small abrasions, and lacerations. The trio received treatment by Pasadena Fire Dept. Paramedics at the scene and did not require hospitalization.
Both suspects, identified as 33-year-old Anthony Dunlap of Lancaster, California, and 32-year-old Dernesha Gregory of Lancaster, were taken to a nearby hospital for injuries to wrists, minor abrasions, a bloodshot eye, and a broken tooth.
After being treated at the hospital, the suspects were booked on charges of robbery and mayhem, Bundy said.
According to booking records Dunlap was being held on $160,000 bond at the Pasadena City Jail. No booking records for Gregory could be located online.
