Parsons Hires Deister as Vice President, Environment and Infrastructure

Parsons is pleased to announce that Ane Deister has joined the company as Vice President for its Environmental Division. In her new role, she will focus on opportunities to enhance Parsons’ commercial environmental business with existing and new customers in the western region.

Deister brings 28 years of experience to Parsons, most recently as Vice President at an international, environmental, and natural resource management consulting firm. Her experience also includes working with Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, heading up three departments, as well as in the executive office of The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California spearheading interactions with environmental stakeholders and legislative and member agency representatives. In addition, she has worked as General Manager at El Dorado Irrigation District.

Deister holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of South Florida and master’s degrees in both biology and environmental engineering from the University of South Florida and the University of Florida, respectively. She currently serves on the boards of the Water Education Foundation, Urban Water Institute, and American Water Works Association’s Water Resources Sustainability Division. Deister will be based in Sacramento, CA.
