Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Hosts Scholarship Workshop for 9th to 12th Grade Students and Their Parents

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Pasadena Chapter is sponsoring its Annual Scholarship Workshop on Saturday, October 17th, at the Pasadena City College campus.

The interactive workshop is entitled “Money for College Doesn’t Grow on Trees,” and will give an opportunity for 9th to 12th Grade students and their parents to learn more about how to successfully apply for scholarship monies for school.

Topics will include How to Find Scholarships, Packing Yourself and the Perfect Scholarship Application, and Financial Aid 101.

Financial Aid Specialist Tony Smith will discuss Financial Aid Awareness, and Dr. Paul Price, Associate Professor at PCC, will be the keynote speaker.

The workshop will start at 8:30 a.m. in the Circadian Room at PCC and will continue through 12:30 p.m.
