Pasadena Community Foundation Launches New Grant Opportunity for Local Arts and Culture Nonprofits

The Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) on Monday announced a new grant program to support arts and culture nonprofit organizations in the greater Pasadena area. The program aims to help these organizations rebuild and reimagine their work in the post-pandemic period.

The application period opened Monday and will remain open until April 27, the announcement said.

Grant awards will range between $10,000 and $25,000. The program is open to organizations providing the greater Pasadena area with visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, historic preservation, arts/cultural history, events, and/or education.

PCF Program Director Jeannine Bogaard said the new program is a natural progression of PCF’s longtime support of arts organizations.

“We recognize that this moment in time offers an important opportunity to strengthen arts organizations’ capacity, diversity, and audience. We are so happy to formalize our support with a new program dedicated solely to arts and culture,” she said.

PCF has historically supported arts and culture organizations through its annual Capital Grants Program and pandemic relief grants. In 2022, seven arts organizations were awarded $170,000 in Capital Grants. In 2021, PCF provided $100,000 in unrestricted pandemic relief grants to 14 local arts organizations and contributed $50,000 to the City of Pasadena’s Art & Culture Relief Grant Program.

PCF is a nonprofit organization that manages more than 400 charitable funds for individuals, families, and organizations. It also offers nine annual grant programs for local nonprofits in various fields.
