Three Pasadena Fire Department Firefighters were promoted to the rank of engineer last week in small, socially distanced ceremonies.
Firefighters Kevin Ross, O’Bryan Malray and Tenoa Stevenson achieved the rank of engineer, authorizing them to take the wheel of the department’s fire engines, as well as operate and maintain them, according to city officials.
A traditional “badge-pinning” ceremony with the firefighters’ families had to be put on hold, but will still take place once it can be done safely, officials said.
