Pasadena Host Lions Club Holds Book Drive

Published on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 | 11:18 am

Pasadena Host Lions Club (PHLC) needs your books! Bring new and gently-used books for children (ages 3-12) or youth (13-18) as the Pasadena High School Leos Club takes on the task of distributing to kids looking for a good read this summer. This is an opportunity to give the gift of imagination that comes with a good story.

PHLC have several locations for book drop-offs this month. For those who can’t deliver them to the Club Meetings on Tuesdays at the University Club in Pasadena, these locations with extended hours are standing by to collect books:

Edwin Mills by Equator, 22 Mills Place, Old Pasadena — Monday thru Sunday 3:00 p.m. until
closing;

Bickley Printing Co., 25 So. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena — Monday thru Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.;

Cullen Chiropractic Clinic, 21 S. Roosevelt Ave., Pasadena — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Don’t have any books to donate or in a crunch for time? Donate from the comfort of one’s couch through Pasadena Host Lion’s Club’s Amazon Wish List at
http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1PKH9BEKMQDZ4/ref=cm_sw_em_r_awwlol_RH8rvb14XRPFT_wb and Amazon will ship gifts directly to PHLC for sharing.

Hurry! The Book Drive ends May 18. Together, everyone can give the gift of literacy to Pasadena’s youth!
