Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center: Home Front: Portraits from Sheikh Jarrah

Ronit Avni, Filmmaker & Human Rights Advocate, screened and discussed,“Home Front: Portraits from Sheikh Jarrah” last Thursday, February 23 at the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center (PJTC).

PJTC members joined the church in the screening and discussion of Just Vision’s latest short film series, “Home Front: Portraits from Sheikh Jarrah.” The series, made by the award-winning creators of Budrus and Encounter Point, tells the stories of two Israelis and two Palestinians involved in a remarkable nonviolent campaign taking place in the heart of Jerusalem. Home Front chronicles the resolved of a neighborhood, and the support it received from the most unexpected of places.

Ronit Avni is an award-winning filmmaker and human rights advocate. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Just Vision, an organization dedicated to increasing media coverage and support for Palestinian and Israeli efforts to end the occupation and the conflict without arms.
