City officials rolled out an online survey Thursday to collect opinions on parking to inform the creation of a citywide parking plan.

The survey will be used by city officials as they draft a Citywide Parking Strategic Plan in the near future, city officials said in a written statement accompanying the survey.

“The plan will be focused on improving the overall parking experience for residents, visitors, and businesses,” according to the statement. “In this initial phase of the project, the city would like to hear about your experience with parking in Pasadena. Please take a moment to tell us what you think and help us better understand the parking challenges that are important to you.”

Once officials have developed a draft of recommendations, additional opportunities for public input are planned.

Among other things, the 20-question survey asks whether respondents are residents, homeowners, employees working in the city, business owners, or students. It also asks respondents to rank the priority of what they consider to be the most important issues affecting parking in the city. They include improving signage, improving maintenance, long-term parking opportunities, short-term parking opportunities, and additional mobility options.
