Paramedics rushed a man to a hospital with life-threatening wounds after he was stabbed in a Pasadena residential neighborhood on Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Police first responded about 4:55 p.m. to a report of a stabbing at El Sereno Avenue and Montana Street, Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins said.
They encountered a local man in his 20s who was suffering from multiple stab wounds to his back, according to the lieutenant.
He was taken to a hospital with injuries described as life-threatening, Dawkins said. An update on the victim’s condition was not available Tuesday morning.
It initially appeared that the attacker was known to the victim, but no further information regarding a suspect description or a motive was available as the investigation continued Tuesday.
