Pasadena Police Make Arrest in March’s Fatal Collision

Investigators from the Pasadena Police Department Traffic Section arrested one of the drivers in the March 16 fatal collision that occurred on Hill Ave. near Villa St.

Kimson James Wright 48, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at his Pasadena home on charges of Gross Vehicular Manslaughter. On the evening of March 16th, Wright was driving his 2004 Mercedes southbound on Hill Ave. when it struck a 2003 Toyota Matrix. The 37 year old driver of the Matrix and Pasadena resident, Jose Daniel Moreno, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The arrest was made following an extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. Toxicology reports indicate that alcohol was a factor in the tragic collision.
