A 29-year-old woman was apparently sexually assaulted over the weekend, and a Pasadena man succumbed to his stab wounds over this past weekend, officials said.
Both incidents occurred in addition to the attempted homicide on Saturday.
At about 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, officers responded to a sexual assault/rape call on the 200 block of S. Meredith, according to Lt. Russ of the Pasadena Police Dept.
Russ stated the victim was a 29-year-old woman who had earlier retired to her bedroom to go to sleep. The victim’s roommate had invited several guests to the residence. The lieutenant added that one of the guests was the alleged suspect, a 16-year-old Hispanic male from Altadena.
According to Russ, the suspect entered the victim’s room and sexually assaulted her before leaving the residence. After officers responded to the reported incident, Russ said the suspect was found nearby and was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
No further information was available on the matter, Russ added.
