Pasadena Unified School District graduations will be held in person, with safety measures in place, at two combined ceremonies on June 4 at the Rose Bowl, the school district announced on Monday.

“We are making every effort to make this important rite of passage as special as possible for graduates while adhering to COVID-19 safety measures,” the district said in a released statement. “During the pandemic, we learned how important it is to come together as one community to support and celebrate our students.”

Parents/guardians will be allowed to attend the event, and each graduate can invite up to four guests who must be from the same household

Safety protocols will be in place, such as wearing masks, physical spacing, and advance registration. High school principals worked together to ensure that graduates are honored in safe, in-person ceremonies, the announcement said.

Schools will have more details about schedules, tickets, and other information in the coming weeks.

Promotion ceremonies for middle and elementary school students are being planned as car parades. Schools will have dates and times for those events.
