Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) appointed Marvin Moon as its new Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Power Delivery. Moon will permanently fill the position following Engineering Manager Varoojan Avedian, who had served as Interim AGM of Power Delivery since November 2017.
Moon comes to PWP after 35 years of service at Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), where he held various positions including Manager of Distribution Engineering, Manager of Customer New Business, and most recently, Director of the Power Engineering Division. As the PWP Assistant General Manager of Power Delivery, Moon will be responsible for all Pasadena’s power system services, which include resources, engineering, construction, operations, and notably, PWP’s electrification program. “My 35-year career within the power industry has spanned a variety of roles,” said Moon. “As I take on this new chapter, I look forward to bringing that unique expertise to the Power Delivery team and the PWP organization.”
“Marvin Moon was a champion of transportation electrification for many years, and as PWP begins exploring this new arena, we are confident that Mr. Moon will be incredibly valuable as the new AGM of Power Delivery,” said PWP General Manager Gurcharan Bawa.
