One of the year’s most anticipated annual community events in Pasadena is making its awaited return Saturday morning.

Thousands of participants and spectators are expected to attend the Pasadena Latino Heritage Parade and Festival which kicks off at 10 a.m. at Los Robles Avenue and Prescott Street, rolls south on Los Robles then turns west on Villa Street and ends with a festival at the Villa Parke Community Center at 363 E. Villa Street.

The parade’s theme is  “De Colores//An Array of Colors.”

“If the community can plan to attend the event and be lined up [in] Los Robles, bring their chairs and their snacks, and be ready by 10 a.m. on October 1st along Los Robles. We would be happy to see them attend and fill in the sidewalks there to view the parade and get a good look at the various bands and marching groups that we’ll have that day,” said Monzon.

The 24th Latino Heritage Celebrations are sponsored by the City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and the Pasadena Latino Heritage Committee.

Immediately following the parade, residents can enjoy the festival Villa-Parke Multi-Purpose Field featuring live entertainment by local groups and headliner La Sonora Dinamita with Vilma Diaz, educational booths, free activities for children, and food available for purchase.

Post parade events include a car show and an art exhibit.
