Pasadena City College head coach Fred Fimbres will give an update on the Lancers in a luncheon at the Pasadena Quarterbacks Club on September 27, Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Arcadia coach Andrew Policky will also give a talk during the event, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported. Arcadia finished third in the Pacific League last season.
Lunch costs $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Those who wish to attend but not have lunch will be charged with $5.
Fimbres of Whittier had been a football player for Cerritos College. He later served as an assistant coach for the Falcons and afterwards at East Los Angeles.
He became the head coach at College of the Dessert from 2002 to 2003 and later at DuPage in Illinois, a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Under his leadership, the one-win team reached the Midwest Football Conference championship for four consecutive seasons.
He is currently the head coach at the Pasadena City College for the past three seasons.
The Lancers, led by Quarterback Darrian Cazarin, will play at the College of the Canyons on Saturday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m., the newspaper reported.
