PCC Mulls Termination of Porn Professor for Alleged Sexual Encounter with Students

Pasadena City College announced Thursday that “Porn Professor” Hugo Schwyzer may face termination after he admitted in his blog post that he was having sexual relationships with his students.

“The college does not in any way condone or tolerate such conduct by any faculty member. All of us in the college are outraged by Mr. Schwyzer’s statements about his conduct,” said PCC General Counsel Gail Cooper in a statement. “The college is acting swiftly to conduct an investigation and to hold Mr. Schwyzer accountable for his actions while an employee.”

Schwyzer admits in his blog Thursday that he had a sexual relationship with a certain “Meagan,” who claimed to be his student in 2011.

He also credited Meagan’s claim in her blog that Schwyzer had sexual intercourse with at least one of his students other than Meagan.

“I have no intention of naming names or of discussing numbers, save to say that the allegations ‘Meagan’ makes are true and that I did indeed have sex with more than one adult student. There is no excuse for this behavior, and I do not expect anyone to defend it,” Schwyzer posted in blog.

According to PCC’s Policy No. 62 or also called as “Conflicts of Interest Arising from Consensual Relationships,” sexual relationship should not exist between faculty and students.

“In addition to the concern over the potential for conflicts of interest arising out of consensual relationships, the College has a special responsibility towards students as members of the College community,” according to PCC’s policies and procedures. “The academic success of students is central to the College’s Mission.”

Meagan said she was 20 years when she got engaged in a sexual relationship with Schwyzer, her professor in History 25B or Women in American Society course.

“I was very attracted to Hugo for his looks, his personality, and his teaching ability. He was an easy crush for many girls. I was one,” Meagan posted.

Meagan added that she asked Schwyzer to go out with her to coffee in early May 2011 and then they went to her apartment a week after, when their sexual relationship started. Their relationship continued for several months, she said.

“I hold Hugo in no animosity. I am not anggry with him. He did not abuse me or take advantage of me,” Meagan said. “He has definitely come clean about many of his worst behaviors, and I am happy for him that he is letting the truth come out.”

“I am at loss therefore at his refusal to admit that he was sleeping with students this whole time,” Meagan added.

Schwyzer recently made news for attempted suicide and alleged extramarital affairs. He became well-known when reports were published about his Humanities 3 class in PCC called “Navigating Pornography.” Resulting public outrage and pressure from PCC officials ultimately caused him to cancel the class, Schwyzer had claimed.
