PCC Students to Enjoy Discounted Price in Public Transportation this Semester

Pasadena City College students enrolled in at least 12 units will be given a discounted rate in local public transportation during the fall semester.

The the Institution Pass Card (I-TAP) will give the students an unlimited use of the Metro buses and rail lines and Foothill Transit for only $30 this semester.

The passes, which are valid seven days a week, can be purchased at the Student Business Services building. Students must present a PCC identification card and a copy of their class schedule upon purchase.

A shuttle service to the Metro Gold Line will also be provided to the students.

The new academic year in PCC began on Monday with a high enrollment rate of almost 74,000.

Academic and Career and Technical Education classes are offered on the main PCC campus and at the Community Education Center, located at 3035 E. Foothill Blvd The college offers more than 60 academic areas and issues certificates in more than 70 Career and Technical Education disciplines.

Students may apply and register online, check the status of their enrollment, and learn the availability of classes via the Internet by accessing www.pasadena.edu and then logging into LancerPoint. PCC staff is available to answer any questions.
