Pasadena police officers doing a welfare check on Mountain Street and Mentor Avenue discovered the body of a man in his 50s on Tuesday.
“We think it’s a homeless person,” said Lt. Pete Hettema. “We called the coroner out.”
The call came in shortly before 8:30 a.m., according to Hettema, who said there were no apparent signs of homicide.
Police are not allowed to move a body, and a further investigation will be conducted by the coroner’s office.
The man has not been identified.
